About Wawa
Wawa, Inc., a privately held company, began as an iron foundry in New Jersey in 1803. Owner George Wood became interested in dairy farming near the close of the nineteenth century, and the family established a small processing business in Wawa, Pa., in 1902. Because of its high quality, sanitation, and “approved” process; the milk business was a big success. As home delivery of milk dwindled in the early 1960s, George’s grandson, Grahame Wood, built the first Wawa Food Market in 1964 as a dairy product shop.
Today, Wawa is your one-stop shop for fresh, made-to-order foods, beverages, coffee, fuel, surcharge-free ATMs, and Boundless ConvenienceTM.
